UNITY

A high-contrast composition featuring two women—one Black, one White—resting their heads together, connected by a shared gray floral headpiece. Inspired by Noma Bar, whose work blends minimalism with layered storytelling through negative space and a restrained palette, it explores racial identity, unity, and collective resistance. The headpiece symbolizes the strength and solidarity women across racial and cultural lines can find in supporting one another. (Includes licensed royalty-free vector graphics, creatively modified and integrated to express an original concept and message while reflecting my artistic vision and respecting licensing agreements.) This piece received an Honorable Mention in Illustration/Fine Art at the 2025 Student Showcase at Ivy Tech Community College in Evansville, Indiana.
